Internal Sales Representative

 About this Role:

The Sales Representative is responsible for converting enquiries into sales, building strong customer relationships, and delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales journey. 

Working across designated product categories, you will manage inbound enquiries, qualify opportunities, prepare quotations, and follow up opportunities through to conversion. You’ll play a key role in supporting customer retention, identifying repeat business opportunities, and ensuring all customer interactions and sales activities are accurately maintained within the CRM. 

Success in this role comes from being customer-focused, commercially minded, organised, and proactive in managing multiple opportunities while collaborating closely with Sales, Production, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing teams. 

 What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in sales, internal sales, customer service, or sales coordination
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and customer engagement skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • commercially aware with a focus on achieving results
  • Strong attention to detail and CRM administration skills
  • Experience within trailers, transport, manyfactering, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors will be highly regarded.
 

In this role, you’ll

  • Manage inbound sales enquiries and qualify customer requirements
  • build strong customer relationships that drive repeat business and customer retention. Prepare quotations and convert opportunities into sales outcomes
  • identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the product portfolio
  • maintain accurate customer, lead, quote, and opportunity information within the CRM
  • Provide prompt and professional customer service, resolving enquiries efficiently
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
  • Contribute market insights, customer feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives
 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an office based open plan environment
  • Ability to travel by road or air for customer visits and industry events as required
  • Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment across all seasons, including Queensland summer and winter conditions

About the Role:

The Digital Transformation Specialist supports GLT’s digital transformation initiatives by improving, implementing, and maintaining internal digital systems and tools.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to streamline processes, improve data capture and accessibility, support digital projects, and help embed technologies that improve operational performance and employee experience.

This role combines technology, business improvement, user support, and innovation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and seeing their work translate into practical outcomes.

 

In This Role, You’ll Design:

 

Digital Systems & Business Improvement

  • Support the development, optimisation, and maintenance of digital systems and business tools.

  • Ensure systems remain fit for purpose and aligned to operational requirements.

  • Improve user experience, accessibility, and system functionality.

 

Process Automation & Efficiency

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and streamline workflows.

  • Assist in implementing solutions that improve productivity, accuracy, and responsiveness.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

 

Data, Reporting & Accessibility

  • Improve data capture, utilisation, and reporting capabilities.

  • Support the creation and maintenance of digital environments that provide stakeholders with timely access to key business information.

  • Assist in driving data-informed decision making.

 

Technology Adoption & Change

  • Support the implementation of digital projects and system improvements.

  • Assist with user training, engagement, and adoption of new tools and processes.

  • Help drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

 

Innovation & Emerging Technologies

  • Champion the practical application of AI, automation, and emerging technologies.

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions that solve business challenges and unlock new opportunities.

 

Technical Support & Cybersecurity

  • Provide support to users across GLT’s digital platforms and systems.

  • Assist in maintaining secure digital environments and promoting cybersecurity best practices.

  • Support risk management activities relating to systems, data, and technology.

 

 

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 1 year experience, Ideally 3-5 years supporting, implementing, or improving digital systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

  • Trade qualification or relevant welding/fabrication experience
  • Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings.
  • Skilled in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • A proactive, reliable, and positive approach to your work.
 

In this role, you’ll

  • Read and interpret technical drawings to perform welding and fabrication tasks.
  • Carry out welding duties (GMAW, TIG, Stick) along with cutting, grinding, and other fabrication processes.
  • Ensure all work meets quality, specification, and safety requirements.
  • Complete documentation accurately, including job, build , and time records.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting apprentices and junior employees.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by following WHS procedures and reporting hazards or incidents.
  • Maintain equipment correctly and only operate machinery with training and competency sign-off.

Warehouse and Stores

 What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a motivated Stores Person to join our team and play a key role in keeping GLT running smoothly. This involves:

  • Receiving and dispatching goods accurately and safely.
  • Making sure stock records are up to date and correct.
  • Organising the store to keep it clean, safe, and efficient.
  • Supporting production with kits, tools, and components when needed.
 

About you:

  • A safety-first approach in everything you do.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Teamwork, reliability, and clear communication.
  • Takes pride in service delivery and in a tidy and presentable environment.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and take ownership of the role.
  • Previous store/warehouse experience (manufacturing or transport experience an advantage).
